Exciting News!

Well hellllllo Spring! And about time if you ask me :) Don't get me wrong, I love Winter, but Spring is just so pretty (n I can pull all my cute lil dresses out of the storage box under my bed). Plus the evenings are starting to get lighter which means more cocktail drinking time on the balcony!!!

So, what's happening in Debstar-ville this week? Well quite a lot actually. I'm super happy to announce the arrival of over 40 new gorgeous new pieces of jewellery up on my website www.debstardesigns.com.au. There's something new on there for everyone. Here's a couple of pics:

This lil number's one of my fav's n I'll be wearing it myself quite a bit over the next few months. It's only $40 too!

 Not only are these lil babies perfect for holding a cardie in place, you could also wear them as a brooch on a jacket or even attach them to one of my plain velvet chokers for a pretty dramatic choker. For only $25 a pair.

News, Updates and Stuff

OK, so once again, it's been awhile....

Exciting news though. I've decided that from this week on I'll be posting regularly (once a week), about the goings on at Debstar HQ and also on a range of topics, issues and general stuff that interests me and hopefully you!

Well hold on people, cause in other big news, there's a tonne of new jewellery ready to be photographed and added to the website! :) Thanks to the encouragement of the hubby, I've created quite a few new designs which are AWESOME (even if I do say so myself!). Those who follow me on Debstar's Facebook Page or on Instagram (debstardesigns) may have already seen a few sneaky pics of some of the new jewellery!

Enough about jewellery for the minute, last night I got a new tattoo! It's super darn cute, designed by the amazingly talented Lorren Norrie. I always forget just how painful it is to have done and for a day or so after! It's on my right thigh which is now super swollen and owie, but I love the design :) I asked Lorren for something with Flamingos and this is what she came up with,  I highly recommend her, she's an amazing artist and all round lovely person to boot! A bit of news...

Wow, a new blog update!! Its been a while (again) and there's a bit to cover, but basically I'm working away as usual, making my jewellery and trying to sell it to as many people as possible. So, where to start? Well, there's the Rock N Roll Markets, which were going ok down at Tempe and I was enjoying selling my wares (pic from some time late last year) Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the markets were put on hold, but the good news is that, as of last week they're back and at a bigger and better venue at Sydney Uni. The first one back was a success, even if the weather was a bit ordinary. Great atmosphere, fantastic music in the Manning Bar, some awesome stalls and lots of people! Cant wait for the next one - August 12th. A few months back (actually quite a few months back) I did a little photoshoot to do some promo stuff for my line of guys accessories. Dan from Hawleywoods Barbershop was kind enough to supply the venue and the "models". Here's a couple of pics: Having the guys range was definately a good idea and its been getting plenty of interest. Speaking of photoshoots, I'll be looking into doing another one soonish. Its been quite a while since the last shoot with Missy that resulted in the pics I'm currently using in ads and flyers and Ive got a couple of ideas in mind. This ad will be in the next issue of Fiend and I'll also be putting one in Solitude very soon. Back in spring last year I put out a wholesale catalogue that i made available to my stockists and to a couple of retailers I was trying to add to my list of stockists. Turned out to be a good idea, especially as many items in the catalogue differ from what I sell through my site. Win for everyone! So, along with Red Stripe, Visage N Vice, Gallery Serpentine, Sydney Derby Skates and Faster Pussycat, Im also now stocked by Hoolahoop and....biggest news so far...BESERK!! Next thing on the cards is an overhaul of both the web store and wholesale catalogue with some new pieces. I've got plenty of ideas and I'm working away on creating as many new pieces as possible to add to both (catalogue and website). Hopefully I'll have everything ready to go by the end of June. I'm actually having a sale for the whole month to try and clear some stock and get ready for the new bits and bobs. So (shameless promo plug) if you're up for a bargain, head to my site Debstar Designs - everything is reduced by 25%. I think that about covers it since the last update although I've probably forgotten to mention plenty. No doubt I'll continue being slack with keeping this blog updated (seems to be the case since I started doing this), so just keep an eye on my Debstar Facebook updates to stay in the loop. A bit of news....

OK, so this blogging and posting of news kinda slips my mind a bit, but a lot has happened and its time for a big update.
First up, the big reason for the complacency is the new addition we have - little Molly May.

Nothing like a baby to make you realise how much free time I used to have!

Thankfully during the whole being pregnant phase, we managed to get some changes happening to the website, so its looking good and working better. The updated site is now a complete online shopping site with products available in different categories. The creativity is starting to return, so there will be constant updates to the products online - keep an eye out.







At the moment there's a few one off items available, so get in quick. For example:

As well as getting the website set up, we've also been working on building up a base of retailers to stock my jewellery by putting together a wholesale range that hopefully complements the online stock.
So what's coming up? Well its back to the Rock n Roll Markets on 27th November. I'll be selling a lot of the usual stuff, plus some heavily reduced old stock. I'll also be offering a big range of pendant necklaces - where you can choose your pendant and choose the necklace to go with it, whether it be chain, crystal beads or coloured plastic beads.
